2011 Schroeder YMCA Finalist

Thanks in advance for bringing your team to the Schroeder YMCA Finalist.
The meet format is the same. Our goal is to limit entries to around 4000 swims in 2010 and keep the meet a manageable size. We will take entries on a first come, first served basis. There are some light time standards (approx. USA Swimming’s “B”) for longer events and we ask that all athletes have an entry time for all of the events they have entered (please no N.T.’s).
The meet is a YMCA-only meet and will not be sanctioned but will be observed by USA Swimming.
We hope that these measures give us a meet that is exciting and fun but does not kill everyone with overcrowding and sessions that take too long complete.

The Schroeder YMCA and Aquatic Center is located north of Brown Deer Road (Hwy 100) and east of Green Bay Road (Hwy 57) on Schroeder Drive.
FACILITY:
Indoor, 50-meter pool with two eight-lane, 25 yard courses, non-turbulent 6-1/2 foot -17 foot depth and 7 foot wide lanes. Colorado Timing equipment will be used.

Friday 4:30 p.m. 5:35 p.m.
Saturday AM 8:00 a.m. 9:05 a.m.
Sunday AM 7:00 a.m. 8:05 a.m.
Saturday & Sunday PM *
* Afternoon warm-ups will not begin before 11:30 AM - please check posted time line
RULES:
Current USA Swimming Technical Rules; however, this meet will not be sanctioned or approved.
MEET FORMAT:
Friday’s distance events will be swum slowest to fastest and two courses may be used. Coaches please note: Fly over starts will be used.
Relay cards are in each Coach’s team packet. Names in order of swimming must be on the back of the card before the event is swum. These cards should be taken to the blocks by the relay swimmers.
Coaches’ packets can be picked up at the table in front of the office.
FOR THE 8 & UNDER SWIMMERS ONLY.
The staging area is in the bleachers to the left of the glass office. We have 8 & Under helpers that will get your swimmers lined up on the bulkheads for individual events only. We will not stage relays.
ELIGIBILITY:
Swimmers must be current members of the YMCA that they represent. Swimmer’s age is as of first day of the meet. Only swimmers 12 and over may enter Senior events. 8 & Under swimmers may not swim in 9-10 events.
Event Order and Time Standards
ENTRIES:
This meet will be run using HY-TEK MEET MANAGER. Export a meet entry file from Team Manager and e-mail it as an attachment. Upon completion of the meet, results, a Comlink file and a MM Back up file will be posted on our website. Please snail-mail a hard copy of your entry with your entry summary and a check for entry fees or hand carry to the meet.

LIMITS:
Three (3) individual events per day plus relays.
FEES:
$4.50 per individual event
$12.00 per relay
$6.00 facility user
Make checks payable to: WSAC Entry fees are non-refundable unless the meet is full when we receive your entries.
We expect to fill our meet this year. Entries will be taken on a first come first served basis. We would like to avoid deck entries on the days of the meet to ease the burden on meet management, however, if there are open lanes we may place athletes from teams in those lanes before the meet begins or choose to deck enter Schroeder athletes during the meet.

Team trophy for top 3 teams will be determined by 8-place scoring. (Host team excluded.)

Relays: 18-14-12-10-8-6-4-2
AWARDS:
Individual: Ribbons: 1-8 (scored) Ribbons: 9-16 (not scored)
Relays: Ribbons: 1-3 (scored) Ribbons: 4-8 (scored)
All awards will be bagged by team and can be collected by a team representative at the end of the meet.
